So I have stayed in this apartment near Kiyevskaya metro station for almost two weeks and everything was almost perfect except lack of Internet connection in the house.I had to head out in search of that mysterious Internet cafe around the neighborhood, it seemed that everybody including the sales clerks in the stores and moms walking with their strollers had a wireless connection at home, so nobody could tell me where I could find a cafe. Finally I went to the European Square Shopping mall and there on the top floor there was an overpriced Internet spot.

My trip to Moscow City- Christmas Season in Moscow! Just loved it there!
Last year (2008) I went to Moscow and stayed there for 11 days. I love Russia in general and in particular because it is partly my Motherland- I was born in Russia when it was still part of the Soviet Union in the Far East.
I have been to Moscow only as a transit passenger going from there to visit my great grand mother in the suburbia of Bezhetsk but this time I knew I had to see it. I still don`t fully realize that I did fulfill my dream and explored Moscow in all its beauty. But here you go... I did! The first couple of photos are photos of the apartment where I was staying for 10 days. It was generously given to me by my former Russian student- a Bulgarian investment banker who after the recession kicking in permanently relocated to Russia (Moscow). It was a very nice apartment as you can see. With a big kitchen, nice clean and fully furnitured room. I had the hell of good time there! The commute to Red Square was some 15 minutes, not more than that! Cool, isn`t it? The apt was right across from the European Shopping Mall near Kyivska subway station.

Lviv Photo Gallery from my trip there- lots of fun pictures!

I took tons-literally tons of pics that filled the whole two flash-cards and half of my hard-drive on my poor 4-year old Mac. I had to sacrifice lots and lots of precious to me songs among them Opera singing from Wagner`s masterpieces as well as not so masterful American "Phantom of the Opera". Photos are a real nuisance- they take up a lot of space, they need to be labeled individually, they take time to upload to a website and sometimes even force it to close down. But they are worth all that trouble because as they say a picture is worth a thousand words. So start enjoying my private perspective of this gorgeous eternal city with wonderful architecture... And maybe next time you will be begging me to take you with me for my next trip to Lviv-Lvov-L`viv- you see it is versatile even in its spelling.
I am starting with the photos of the flowers that my friends presented me on my B-day and they were keeping me company in my apartment.
